Nova Scotia Security Guard License Practice Exam

When a security guard is unsure about a policy or procedure, consulting with a supervisor or referring to the company's guidelines is the most appropriate action. This approach ensures that the guard receives clarification and guidance from someone with more experience or authority. Supervisors are trained to handle such inquiries and can provide accurate information regarding the correct procedures to follow.

Additionally, referring to company guidelines allows the guard to access documented policies that have been established to maintain consistency and safety within the organization. This step is crucial in the security field where following protocols can significantly impact the safety of individuals and property.

Other options could lead to misunderstandings or incorrect implementations of policies, which may result in breaches of protocol or even safety risks. Therefore, seeking clarity from a supervisor or appropriate resources is always the best practice.
